As a resident in the Southwest Missouri region, I hear and see this type of negative press towards the Branson Airport all to often...and quite frankly it's tiring. I'm not sure what the Springfield area's negativity towards the Branson Airport is, but it's truly amazing to me how the source of the article always seems to know the exact details and contractual agreements among all parties involved. Nobody knows these specific details except for the bondholders/investor/airport administration. If Springfield is afraid of a little competition coming in with the new contract of Southwest Airlines, then make a change...but quit attacking a business that is building it's way up to success in one of the worst economic periods in history.
